A Rose...a rose
Rose Rebelle Respawn - A Lab On Fire
"Nothing can harm you. Nothing can drag you down. When your strength is unlimited, it comes from the deepest, most fearless heart. Looking hard into the eyes of your future, you are steady and master it. It kneels before you, in awe. The allure of Rose Rebelle Respawn is boundless. Sophia Grojsman’s iconic fragrance returns, its femininity and daring irrepressible." Notes: Top: ivy, mint leaves, Mid: carnation, rose. Base: musks, incense, cacao.
Modern light oriental. Beginning with green notes on the skin, then the presence of sweet rose emerges, some skins pick up the carnation - which mine did not. The warmth comes at the end where spicy incense notes and cocoa powder make the fragrance smooth and quite comforting and sensuous.

Gunpowder Rose - Union Fragrances
"Union, the luxury fine fragrance house that celebrates the scents of the British Isles, is putting the flower of England back on the perfume map with its new fragrance, Gunpowder Rose. Rose oils and extracts from Lincolnshire and the Stour Valley. Notes: Rose, charcoal, violet leaf, blackcurrant, oak moss, oak bark.
Rose oils and extracts from Lincolnshire and the Stour Valley, are sourced by Creative Perfumer Anastasia Brozler. The velvet softness of the petals is coupled with zesty green stems, while spicy charcoal embers sit within the heart of this explosive scent for women. Gunpowder Rose is, as the name implies, an Eau de Parfum to be reckoned with."
Strong moky rose is starting to become a favourite and this is a great way to get to know it. This is a wood smoked English rose with additions of blackcurrent cordial. Earthy green notes flow throughout with an aromatic finish makes this a clever challenging fragrance. Great.

Parfum Sacre - Caron
"The conception of Caron Parfum Sacr is a miraculous one. Caron was lauded and applauded to two very famous fragrances; Poivre and Ftes des Roses, in 1990 nose, Jean-Pierre Bethouart, did what was very experimental thirty years ago, he fused the peppery and floral notes in what was to prove to be a very holy alliance. Adding to the religious experience frankincense and myrrh add a waft warm, reassuring of incense to further captivate."
Top: Coriander, Ginger, Cinnamon. Mid: Rose. Base: Vanilla, Musk, Frankincense, Myrrh.
Ginger, pepper and coriander hit you first with a strong rose signature. I love the vanilla/musk mixture that turns slightly mysterious with the addage of Myrrh at the end. this is quite lovely once it settles with a slight talcum powder finish on the skin
Noix de Tubéreuse - Miller Harris
“The inspiration behind Noix de Tubéreuse began in the endangered tuberose fields of Grasse. Sensual tuberose is at the heart of this powerful and expansive scent.”
Notes: Top: Wild green clover, mimosa, and violet. Heart: Tuberose, fig. Base: Tonka bean, orris and amber
Mimosa begins, powdered tuberose continues through with a syrupy, sugary adage. Balanced with amber that softens allowing the tuberose to finally linger on the skin. Nice because it is not a typical tuberose fragrance because it seems softly candied and more gentle.
